Kupwara, Feb 6 : Kamraj Forest Division Kupwara on Tuesday organised a farewell function in the honour of outgoing DFO Kamraj Zahid Moghal, who was recently transferred from Kamraj division and posted as Director Social Forestry Kashmir.
Speakers on the occasion hailed Moghal as an honest and dedicated Officer. The speakers said that Moghal’s tenure as DFO Kamraj will be remembered as a golden period.
“Besides being an astute officer he was a guide to his sub-ordinates and we pray that he may touch new heights in all his future assignments,” said a speaker.
“Zahid Sahab was a very cooperative officer during his tenure all the public issues throughout his tenure were amicably solved.”
In his farewell address, the departing officer shared his experiences as DFO Kamraj and extended his gratitude to all Range officers, Block forest Officers, casual labourers and forest guards for their contribution and cooperation in saving the green gold.
“Due to their contribution, I as DFO got success in retrieving the encroached forest land, eradicating bhung cultivation, promoting eco-tourism and other developments besides I am highly thankful to the general for cooperating with us in saving forests from every aspect” he said.
On the occasion newly-posted DFO Anurag Arya (IFS) said that he was impressed by the services of outgoing DFO, “Zahid Mughal Sahab is the only with whom I was in contact with during my probation period and I have learnt a lot by his guidance”, the newly appointed DFO said.
Later on, the departing officer was presented with mementos and gifts as a goodwill gesture.
