Srinagar, September 18: J&K Peoples Movement (JKPM) has urged the government to look into the grievances of various categories of the employees of the ICDS Department.
Speaking to a delegation of ICDS employees, JKPM Senior Vice President Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir said that while the employees of the ICDS department have been working for the last many years, the government has ignored their genuine concerns.
“The ICDS employees including helpers, Anganwadi workers, supervisors etc are involved in all kinds of ground work, whether it is election duty, pulse polio campaign etc. Despite the same, their salaries have not been released for the last many years. This is a violation of their fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution of India” Iqbal Tahir said in his statement.
JKPM demands that the administration must intervene in this matter and their grievances are resolved at the earliest.
