Kupwara: Aimed to nourish and enlighten women with Islamic teachings and a righteous path, the day-long conference was held by Jamia Islamia Maryamul Banat at Sulkoot in north Kashmir’s kupwara district.
The day-long program was attended by a huge number of local gatherings mainly women and young girls.
Dr. Mubeena Ramazan was the guest of honor. She became the first Kashmiri woman in 2018 to be enlisted among the 500 most influential personalities in the Muslim world. She was accompanied by several guests who addressed the gathering and encouraged a righteous path to live life as per Islamic norms.
Dr. Mubeena on the occasion appreciated the seminary for encouraging women mainly young girls toward the holy book Quran. She said that it is the need of the hour to educate girls about the importance of Islam and encourage them toward the righteous path.
She also said that young girls must be encouraged and welcomed. “We must collectively fight the evil from our society and educate our children. A woman is duty-bound to give Islamic teachings ro their children since the beginning.”
On this occasion, the seminary appreciated Dr. Mubeena for sharing her valued thoughts.
Special prayers were made for the entire Muslim Ummah by Dr. Mubeena while addressing the gathering.
Later, those women who have memorized some surahs were felicitated by the guests on the occasion.
Notably, the seminary is imparting Quranic cum Islamic education to more than a hundred students besides local girls and women.
Locals appreciated both Dr. Mubeena for her presence and for sharing valuable thoughts with the gathering. They also appreciated the seminary for organizing the day-long conference aimed to educate them about Islamic teachings.
