Kupwara, January 10: International Gujjar Mahasabha chairman, retired Col. Anand Rai demanded FIR under SC/ST atrocities act against Sarpanch behnipora who according to a video clip has hurled caste slurs on a ST ward member.
In a video clip which is viral on social media, a young Gujjar Activist from Rajwar area of Kupwara district along with a ST ward member from Panchayat Halqa Behnipora alleged that the sarpanch of the Halqa has used “Derogatory language against the ward member when committee for forest rights was being nominated”.
Taking serious note of the viral clip, various Gujjar leaders from Jammu and Kashmir have also demanded an FIR be lodged against the Sarpanch.
