Inter State Gangs of Highway Roberers Busted by Akhnoor Police

On 16.10.2023 one person namely Pintu Sharma S/o Sat Pal Sharma R/O Kharak Kalakote reported at Ps Akhnoor and produced an written complaint regarding the Robbery on the intervening night of 14/15 October 2023 from their loaded TATA Mobiles/Belero pickup plying from Jammu towards kalakote when they reached at Kappa Gala area and stopped by unknown persons who attacked upon them and looted Cash Rs 25000/- and 02 mobiles from their possession. As per complaint a Case FIR No. 281/2023 US 392/2023 was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation was started.

     

Taking note of serious nature of offence a special team headed by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma, SHO Akhnoor Zaheer Mushtaq, & Chowki officer Chowki Choura PSI Pankaj Katoch was constituted and supervised by SP Rural Rahul Charak.

During the investigation police team collected various technical evidence and leads and analysed crime data of similar nature of offences of various districts and picked one suspect namely Mohd Kabir S/O Firoz Din R/O Nerojal, Thanamandi District Rajouri . During questioning/interrogation the above mentioned suspect confessed his involvement in above said case and disclosed names of more persons namely :

1) Mohd Gafoor S/O Mohd Maqbul R/O Gambir Mughal Rajouri
2) Haroon Rashid S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Thanamandi Rajouri
3) Nadeem Khan S/O Mohd Kabir R/O Neerojal Thanamandi Rajouri
(4) Danish Hussain S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Koti Doda who have been involved in many incidents of similar nature.
After this special team raided many places in Punjab,samba , jammu & Rajouri and arrested above mentioned accuseds .
Special team also recovered 02 Alto cars bearing regn JK06- 1356 & JK11E- 6134, 02 .motorcycles bearing registration No. JK02- BJ-8918 & JK02CD- 5689 , which accuseds were using for committing robberies . Besides 02 snatched mobiles and 03 sharp edged weapons (Tokka’s ) were also recovered from above said accused persons .

During their interrogation they have confessed their involvement along with other accuseds( who are absconding) in many cases which are :
1)FIR No. 368/2023,
2) FiR No;380/2023,
3)FIR No;430/2023 &
4) FiR No;437/2023 U/S 392 IPC of PS Nagrota,
5)FIR No. 110/2023 U/S 392/323/ IPC, 4/25 A. Act of PS Gangyal,
6)FIR No;88/2023 U/S 457/392/34 IPC of PS Manjakote,
7) FIR No; 280/2023 U/S 392/458/34 IPC
8)FIR No;317/2023 U/S 392/458/34 IPC of PS Domana
9)FIR No. 149/2023 U/S 392 of PS Vijaypur and
10) FIR No; 239/2023 U/S 392 IPC of PS Jajjar Kotli .
This infamous gang was committing robberies on highway’s and in parking areas of many districts and their arrests is a big achievement for police.
The whole operation of special investigation team was carried out under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar IPS. Further investigation is going on and more arrests and recoveries shall be carried out.
and they were hardcore interstate robbers.
