Doctors from Army hospitals went on foot to these villages and carried out medical examination of the people in need. People were diagnosed with diseases like cold, cough, joint pains and were given treatment and medicines accordingly.

More than 1000 patients were checked for various illness and were provided with all the possible aid. Nutritional items were also distributed to those people who are not able to earn their living due to lockdown.

Along with medical camp a veterinary camp was also organised for the villagers. It was the first of its kind in this part of Kupwara and approximately 100 animals incl sheep, goats and cows were checked for fitness, as these animals provide livelihood to these villagers.
Villagers took a sigh of relief after conduct of these camps and their gratitude to Indian Army was visible in their eyes.
Indian Army doctors requested AWAM to take nutritional diet and maintain hygiene in their day to day life. They were also told about the widespread of COVID-19, its effect and measures to stay safe from it.
