To commemorate the 74th Indian Independence Day, Kupwara Terriers organized a special event for
students from Hunar se Rozgar Tak, Kralpora centre at Hirri garrison on 13th August, 2021.
The students enthusiastically showcased their culinary skills in fruit carving, mocktails and salad
preparation. Both girls and boys from Kupwara participated in the competition and prepared items
based on the Independence Day theme.
Kupwara Terriers first lady Mrs Shilvi Bhattacharya distributed study material and encouraged the new
batch to focus on the course and use it as a stepping stone to grow further in life.
To symbolize their
patriotism and to make Kupwara green, the students planted Deodar saplings in the garrison.
The Hunar se rozgar tak scheme is a joint initiative of Indian Army and Food Craft Institute Jammu under Dept of Skill development UT of J&K. Under this scheme candidates receive free vocational training for three months and assured job placement on successful completion of the course.
Various courses (F&B services, Front office associates Room attendants and Multi cuisine chef) are
running successfully at Drugmulla, Hirri and Kralpora.
