In a joint operation based on the input
that one person namely Adil Hussain S/o Mir Haider Shah R/o Takia Badarkote who is a hardcore OGW and is also involved in narcoterrorism has received consignment of weapons and narcotics from across the border.
On this, search was launched in his house at Takia Baderkote by Kupwara Police along with local.
During searches Two AK-47 Rifles, Two AK Magazines and 208 AK rounds were seized from his house.
During questioning, he disclosed that one Faraz Ahmed s/o Mir Shah r/o Padna Prara is the main supplier of weapons to terrorists and had given the seized weapons to him too.
The house of Faraz Ahmad Shah was also searched from which Four Pistols along with Five magazines and one packet of brownsugar like substance was recovered from his house. However Faraz Shah had already escaped from his house and searches were on to arrest him.
The recovery of weapons from these OGWs is a major setback to terrorists to execute their nefarious designs . Also the seizure of narcotics exposes the changed strategy of ISI to fund terrorism.
