Horticulture P&M conducts Awareness programme on PM-FME at Fruit Mandi, Handwara

KUPWARA, FEB 13: As part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing (HP&M), District Kupwara, on Tuesday, conducted one-day awareness programme regarding Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprise Scheme (PM-FME) at Fruit Mandi, Handwara.

At the outset, Nodal Officer PM-FME/Area Marketing Officer Kupwara, Mushtaq Ahmad Kumar highlighted the scope and objectives of the scheme to motivate people attending the workshop towards agri-based entrepreneurship. he also encouraged existing unit holders to expand their business by availing the benefits of the scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, District Resource Person of PM-FME, Ms Riffat shared information about the scheme and importance of One District One Product (ODOP) to generate employment besides deliberating on the modalities and procedure for sponsorship of cases to avail benefits under the scheme.

The workshop was attended by officers of agriculture and allied departments, aspiring entrepreneurs, representatives from bopar Mandal.
