Heroin worth Rs. 50 Crores recovered by Kupwara Police

“Kupwara Police busted Pakistan Sponsored Narco-Terror module; Terrorist Associate arrested”: Police

Kupwara May 23: Kupwara Police claimed to have recovered Heroin worth Rs 50 crores (08 kilograms) from the possession of a “militant associate”to activate militancy on Kashmir.
In a statement issued here by police it stated that, “On a specific information, Kupwara Police have busted a Pakistan sponsored Narco-Terror Module and arrested 01 Terrorist Associate identified as; Mujasir Ahmad Lone S/o Muzaffer Ahmad Lone R/o Karen bala”.

It further stated that “Incriminating Material Narcotic substance Heroin 08 kgs (worth 50 Cr. Market value) were recovered from his possession”.

According to the police press statement the other absconded involved persons have been identified and efforts are being taken to arrest them.

“The Module was in close connection with Pakistan based Terror handlers and were involved in drug trade & assisting financially to active terrorists of the Valley. The recoveries also exposed the inter connection between drug dealers and terrorists”, claimed police.

“The module was working for Terrorists to strengthen their activities in the valley and were misguiding and motivating the local youth of the Valley to join militant ranks”, reads press statement.

A Case under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Kralpora and investigation has been taken up.

“Kupwara Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding Drug Peddlers/Smugglers so that the curative steps can be taken against them”, requested police.
