Pahari Speaking Community Anguished Over Delay in Issuance of Reservation Certificates – Javid Mir

Kupwara, July 25: Pahari Youth leader and Youngest sarpanch Javid Mir on behalf of all JK Pahari Community lashed out the government regarding the recent notification issued by the Govt on Dated. 16-07-2020 wherein an income slab of Rs 08 lacs has been fixed in the matter of reservation availed by Paharis.
Pertinent to mention here that recently the Govt announced 4% reservation for Pahari speaking people on 20th of April 2020 which is also not acceptable to the majority of the Pahari speaking people. Now within a period of three months the govt has issued notification regarding income slab of 08 lacs amongst the pahari speaking people category. As the Backward Classes Commission has categorized Paharis as a tribe of Jammu And Kashmir and if Pahari speaking people is a tribal category then how come the Income slab of 08 lac Rupees which is applicable to economically and socially backward classes be applicable to Pahari speaking people.
This move of the govt is completely biased and strictly against the aspirations of the Pahari speaking people. Javid Mir in his statement condemns this notification in all aspects and requests the Union Govt and UT Administration to roll back this notification as early as possible.
Moreover it is my humble submission to all the Pahari Leaders and the entire Pahari Community to come forward and boycott this notification.
Furthermore, Javid Mir said that our community is struggling from last thirty years for ST status for Pahari Speaking people.
Javid Mir said that I personally request to the Hon’ble P. M and Home Minister of Union of India and UT administration of Jammu And Kashmir to grant ST status to the Pahari speaking people at an earliest so that the Pahari speaking people may also get opportunities for their development along with other tribal communities who have already been granted ST status by the Govt of India and If this biased notification will not be rolled back by the Govt the youthwill come on streets in large numbers and large scale protests will be held.
