ADC Kupwara hoists tricolour at DPL Kupwara
KUPWARA, AUGUST 13: Full Dress Rehearsal for 77th Independence Day celebration was held, today here at District Police Lines Kupwara. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat hoisted the National Flag and took salute on March-past, presented by contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, FPP, JK Home Guards, Police Commandos and School Children.
District officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, the ADC congratulated the audience on the eve of celebration of 77th Independence Day and highlighted the sacrifices and struggle of freedom fighters of India.
Later on, cultural variety programmes were presented by students from different schools on the occasion.
Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Handwara, Karnah and Sogam sub divisions.
At DPL Handwara, Sub Registrar Handwara, Arshid Ahmad Khan hoisted the National Flag and took salute on March past.
At Karnah, Tehsildar, Eyad Qadri hoisted the tricolour and took salute on March past.
At Sogam, Tehsildar hoisted the National Flag at GDC Sogam.
Cultural programmes were also held by students and cultural troops at all venues during Full Dress Rehearsal.
