Kupwara Dec, 22: The Four Days’ Workshop on Peace Education organised by District Administration, in collaboration with The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF), for the officers/officials of various departments, concluded with resounding success, at DC office complex Kupwara.
The Peace Education Program, a flagship initiative of TPRF, has been successfully implemented in various parts of the world and its introduction in District Kupwara is a testament to the vision of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms Ayushi Sudan, IAS, for promoting peace at the grassroots level. The collaboration between the District Administration and TPRF represents a commitment to building a more peaceful and compassionate society.
The valedictory session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms Ayushi Sudan, who distributed certificates among the 108 participants. Deputy Commissioner in her concluding remarks appreciated “The Prem Rawat Foundation ” for collaborating with district administration in such initiatives. She said that such workshops aimed at improving mental and emotional wellbeing of the people, are of utmost significance, in the present scenario, for promoting unity and shaping a more harmonious future.
The Facilitator from TPRF, Ms Poonam Sharawat, in the orientation session, while briefing about the objective of The Prem Rawat Foundation, (TPRF) and Peace Education Program said that it is an innovative series of video-based workshops that help people discover their own inner strength and personal peace. The program gives participants an opportunity to focus and reflect on their humanity and on their inner resources such as choice, hope and dignity. She said that life is a blessing and carries some purpose which is the foundation of peace but different social pressures distract us from this very purpose and joining this Peace Education Program is discovery and revision of the purpose of life.
The participants expressed satisfaction and said that such workshops should be organised quite frequently and for even longer durations. The four days’ workshop consisted of 10 topics which were completed, successfully, in 08 sessions.
The Valedictory session was attended by ADC Kupwara Gh.Nabi Bhat, CEO kupwara A. Majeed and coordinator from
Department of Education Javeed Abdullah, who acted as stage host for the program.
