Kupwara: Former Rajya Sabha Member Mir Mohammad Fayazon Tuesday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Prof. Marghoob Banihali, a noted scholar, academician, writer and the well known poet.
In a condolence message issued here, Mir described Prof. Banihali as a luminary whose contribution in the field of Kashmiri language and literature is an acclaimed treasurer for generations to come.
“His tireless efforts in promotion and preservation of Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural heritage shall be remembered by one and all,” Mir said while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
