Kupwara, Nov 9 : The first round of the mega Public outreach programme “Back to Village edition 5”, (B2V5) concluded successfully in 128 Panchayats of Kupwara District today.
These Panchayats wore a festive look where Gram Sabhas, public grievances redressal camps and other activities witnessed impressive public participation.
Public enthusiastically participated in programmes and expressed their views and feedback over the work done by the various departments. The visiting officers chaired Gram Sabhas, Bal Sabhas and Mahila Sabhas and plans for 2024-25 were discussed thoroughly.
The PRIs and locals put forth their demands and grievances which were recorded by the respective Visiting Officer for further redressal.
Visiting officers of B2V5 programme participated in sports activities, plantation drive, talent hunt programmes, cultural events, youth engagement activities and other activities in order to reach out to village population and promote various initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Swach Bharat Mission, Self employment schemes, etc.
Visiting officers inspected the development works and other assets including Amrit Sarovars, Segregation Sheds,community compost pits, conducted inspection CSC Centres and generated awareness about online Services of government.
Visiting officers also inspected the schools where students presented various cultural programmes and skits on awareness of drug menace.
Pledges were administered to the participants in all Panchayats against the drug menace.
