Srinagar, June 10: Islamic Republic of Iran has donated 300 oxygen concentrators to India among which Kashmir based voluntary organisation Ehsaas Trust International (ETI) has also been given share.
A statement from ETI Thursday said that the oxygen concentrators have been actually donated by the Astan-e-Quds, a powerful religious institution of Iran on the directions of the spiritual head and the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Syed Ali Hussaini Khamenie.
The concentrators were delivered through the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic in New Delhi Dr. Agha Ali Chegeni.
“Earlier we had concentrators of 5 litre capacity only available with us which were not useful in case of severe cases, however, the Iranian concentrators that we have received now are of 10 litre capacity which will be extremely helpful in providing relief to patients with severe condition,” General Secretary of Ehsaas InternationaI Hakim Mohammad Ilyas said.
He said the concentrators are of the best quality and expressed his gratitude to the Iranian Ambassador in New Delhi and also to the representative of the Ayatollah Khamenei Hojat-al-Islam Aga Mehdavi Pur, for their efforts.
Hakim Mohammad Ilyas said that these concentrators shall be used in the COVID- Care Hospital, which is a joint initiative of Srinagar Municpality, Ehsaas Trust International, and Voluntary Medicare Society.
Ehsaaas Trust International is a Kashmir based voluntary organisation has been on the forefront of the battle against COVID-19, along with many other organisations, since the outbreak of the pandemic. Among other things it specifically worked in the area of medical aid and is also engaged in the education sector.
