KUPWARA, JANUARY 08 : A day-long dry run exercise was held today at Primary Health Centre (PHC)Nutnusa in Kupwara district.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara Anshul Garg supervised the exercise himself in presence of ADC Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara and other concerned officers.
During the day-long exercise, more than 25 health workers got dummy vaccines , which was meant to test the mechanisms and reveal possible gaps in the system ahead of the actual Covid vaccination.
The Health Department Kupwara has prioritised groups who will get the Covid-19 vaccine first, including doctors, frontline workers, and others who are directly engaged in fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon all the stakeholders to work with added dedication so that better results could be achieved at ground level. He directed CMO Kupwara to sensitize all doctors and paramedics beforehand and plug all loopholes, if any found in the present exercise and ensure all foolproof arrangements for the conduct of COVID-19 vaccination.
Earlier, the DDC inspected Vaccination Room, Observation Room and Waiting Room of the PHC and took stock of the preparations made by the concerned for carrying out the vaccination process.
