Drug menace: Contraband substance worth crores recovered in Baramulla

Baramulla: In a major operation, police on Friday recovered contraband substance valued at crores of rupees in international market in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Curtain Raiser that based on a specific information about the movement of contraband substance, a team of police set up a checkpoint at Baramulla national highway and swung into action.

The team of officials intercepted a vehicle and on frisking huge quantity of illegal drugs, valued at crores of rupees in international market was seized.

A case has been registered and set into motion, officials said.
