KUPWARA: In its endeavour to eradicate drug menace from society, District Police Kupwara organised a drug awareness programme at DPL Kupwara.Around 200 students from various schools participated in the programme.
The focus of the programme was to provide insight to the general public about the seriousness of drug addiction.
Starting the session, ASP Kupwara Shri Ifroz Ahmad – JKPS spoke about drug addiction and highlighted It’s scenario in Kashmir, the causes and consequences of addiction. He also spoke about preventive measures and the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in the prevention of drug menace. Later Dysp Hqrs Kupwara Shri Mudasir Ahmad, prominent speakers, Doctors including Dr Fayaz Ahmad (professor), Dr Saif (Doctor), Miss Nadia (Lawyer), Spoke in brief about drug awareness, it’s causes and consequences.
In the end one hour question hour session was also held by Dysp Hqrs Shri Mudasir Ahmad with students. Their questions were heard politely. Students have hailed Kupwara Police for organizing such programmes.
On the occasion Dysp PC lolab Shri Shahzada Kabir, Dysp DAR DPL Kupwara Shri Sarfaraz Ahmad, Inspr. Shri Zahoor Ahmad were also present.
