Rate fixed at 17.60 per liter , multiple teams constituted for inspection and implementation.

Srinagar, June 04 ( RNA) : Taking serious cognizance of RNA story on sale of Kerosene oil on exorbitant rates, Directorate of FCS&CA has launched a special inspection drive of K. Oil dealers with a strict instruction to implement the revised rate list. The Director of the food supplies department Bashir Ahmad Khan has asked Assistant Director Kupwara to undertake inspection today itself and ensure that the new rates are implemented across the district. A senior officer in the food department told RNA that on the directions of Director, multiple teams of officials headed by TSOs have been constituted in the frontier Kupwara district that would inspect all dealers particularly in Ramhal and Rajwar areas to get the new rates implemented which has been fixed at 17.60 per liter.
As per the order vide Number. ADFCS/&CA /kup/2020/234 the Assistant Director Food , Kupwara has asked all Tehsil Supply Officers to inspect every dealer and file a report regarding the implementation of the revised rates. He has also constituted multiple teams of officials who have been asked to video graph the inspection and also gets the written acknowledgment from the locals regarding the implementation of the rates. A senior officer in the department told RNA that TSOs have been cautioned against submitting nay ‘wrong information’ and told categorically that if their information turned out to be incorrect they will face action.
Meanwhile public has appreciated the move and urged Director Food Supplies to expand the inspection to otehr districts so that rates are regulated as per the government directives. RNA
