DGP J&K VISITS FAMILY OF THE MARTYRED COP AT KUPWARA

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh visited the family of martyr Constable Fayaz Ahmad Lone at Tilwanpora Lolab Kupwara. He was accompanied by Inspector General Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar, DIG North Kashmir Udayabhasker Billa, SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas, CO 28 RR and other officers of District Police Kupwara. DGP and other officers extended their condolence with the bereaved family on this irreparable loss. Director General of Police assured all possible help to the family including the timely rehabilitation and welfare measures including financial assistance, education of kids and other provisions . The DGP termed the loss as loss to entire JKP family and paid tributes to the martyr. The DGP directed the concerned for speedy rehabilitation of the family so that they don’t face any hardship. It is pertinent to mention here that Fayaz Ahmad Lone got martyred in a terrorist attack in Gulshan Chowk Bandipora on December 10, 2021 while discharging his duties. Earlier today, the martyr was laid to rest in village graveyard after wreath laying and guard of honour by the men and officers of District Police Kupwara led by SSP Kupwara. CO 28 RR and officers from CRPF also attended the funeral of the martyrs after laying the wreath. The funeral prayers were attended by thousands of people from Lolab who acknowledged the supreme sacrifice of the personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police in bringing normalcy in the UT of J&K.
