Kupwara, Aug 30: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara Ayushi Sudan (IAS), today, chaired the proceedings of Mega Block Divas at Panchayat Bhawan Kralgund at Block Qaziabad (Handwara) in presence of the Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori .
The officers of all line departments, PRIs and Public of Qaziabad attended the Block Divas.
During the Block Divas , Locals residents and PRIs thanked DDC Kupwara for her maidan visit to Qaziabad Block and presiding over Block Divas.
On the ocasion PRIs and locals said that Qaziabad which is entry of Kupwara district is based on 65 villages and has come up as a best model Block of the district due to presence of 100 percent macdamised road network (road connectivity). For overall development of this block, Chairman, DDC and all the departments of District administration are making their best efforts.
However PRIS and local residents apprised the District Development Commisioner Kupwara about some important issues faced by the people of the area which included construction sanitary complex in main Market kralgund, SRTC Bus Service between Srinagar and Kralgund, establishment of women Degree college in Qaziabad etc.
The DDC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the PRIs and locals and directed the concerned officers to redress the genuine grievances in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the purpose of holding Block Diwas is to reach out to the people at their doorsteps for listening to their grievances and assess the development needs of the people.
The DDC directed Tehsildar Kralgund to identify the state land for construction of community Sanitary Complex at Kralgund market.
The DDC Congratulated the residents of Block Qaziabad for working for Peace and tranquility and participating in Meri Mati-Mara Desh Campaign with great enthusiasm.
Ayushi Sudan urged people to support and Co-operate in execution of different developmental projects.
DDC asked all departments to provide online services within stipulated time frame as it is people’s right to get these services in proper time.
The DDC Congratulated R&B and PMGSY departments for macdamisation of all main roads of Qaziabad Block.
The DDC directed officers of Social Welfare department to resolve the issues of old age and widow pension.
Earlier, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir while welcoming the DDC Kupwara, presented a developmental overview of Block Qaziabad.
Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara thanked District Development Commisioner Kupwara for chairing Mega Block Divas at Block Qaziabad and listening to demands and grievances of public.
Chairman sought the support of people of Kralgund for identification of land for construction of washrooms at Kralgund market.
Chairman appreciated all departments particularly R&B and PMGSY for macdamisation of roads of block Qaziabad well in time
Block Divas was attended by ADC Handwara, SE JJM, BDC Qaziabad, District level officers of all Line Departments, PRIs, Numberdars and a large number of people of block Qaziabad.
