Kupwara,June16: Expressing his deep concern over the damage by Hailstorm in Lagate’s Mawer and Qaziabad,DDC chairman Kupwara,Irfan Sultan Panditpori demanded compensation for apple growers in twin areas. The Apple orchards of villages which have been badly effected by heavy hailstorm are in Upper Qaziabad “HARVET,ASHPORA ,BUDBUGH ,DARBAL BALA ,DARBAL PAYEEN ,HARIL SHEIKHPORA ,TERINA ,JAHAMA AUDOORA ,QALAMABAD.and other parts of district.
This is the third hailfall in the many villages of Kupwara,apple growers are facing huge loss” a press release read.
In the meantime he humbly request LG Manoj sinha to have a look into this issue.
Looking at the huge loss of apple growers in district Kupwara due to frequent hailstorms, the district should be considered for compensation by the government, Also apple growers have taken KCC loan which they are unable to pay, needs to be waived off as relief.
