Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin called a meeting of media persons working in the district regarding novel corona virus, here today.
Deputy Commissioner said that media is the bridge between public and District Administration so that media should work with dedication in this pandemic time for the welfare of whole people in the district. He reiterated that all the media persons should work proactively in containing the Covid-19.
Deputy Commissioner briefed the media persons about various department are sensitizing people about the precautionary measures to be taken to avert the spread of Covid-19 through awareness camps, fumigation at public places, distributing soap dispensers, reading material regarding do’s and don’ts including broachers, leaflets, hand sanitizers and masks.
While highlighting the role of the journalists, he said their cooperation and regular feedback will help the administration in improving the system to fight against Covid-19. He also appealed the people to follow the advisory issued by the department of Health and Medical Education, in this regard.
