Directs officers, field functionaries to play proactive role in resolving public issues
KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 5: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray today visited far flung and border area Keran and took stock of essential supplies and heard day to day issues of the people. He was accompanied by CMO Kupwara, XEN R&B, BMO and other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner convened a joint meeting of officers and PRIs and took stock of essential supplies there. He also reviewed the power, health, education, Social Welfare and other departments, besides developmental works.
While taking review of stock and supply position the Deputy Commissioner was informed that sufficient quantity of ration and other essential commodities are available in the area which will cater the requirement of the people till May this year.
He interacted with BDC Chairperson and PRIs and heard their developmental issues.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected Health Centre Keran and took stock of various developments works going on in the Keran block.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to work with added dedication and resolve public issues on priority basis. He said that Keran is a far flung area and people have more expectations from the administration so it is advised to all the officers and field functionaries to play proactive role in resolving the public issues.
Earlier, on reaching keran, the people of the area gave a warm welcome to the Deputy Commissioner and applauded him for his best and humanitarian efforts in providing chopper service to airlift a female patient from Keran to Kupwara last week.
