DC Kupwara reviews progress of registration, regulation of clinical establishments

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 10: The District Registration Authority (DRA) for Registration of Clinical Establishments met here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan to review the progress of registration and regulation of clinical establishments in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the health sector is a very sensitive sector which receives top priority of the Government adding that the registration and regulation of clinical establishments will ensure better health services to the people.
Regarding regulation of the clinics, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to frame committees at Medical Block level comprising of Tehsildar, BDO, BMO and other concerned for regular inspection of health institutions operating across the district.
Earlier, the CMO Kupwara, Dr. Ramzan informed the meeting that 108 applications have been received for provisional registration of clinics including nursing homes. Out of which Provisional Registration Certificates have been issued to 81 applicants.
ACP Kupwara, CMO, Police Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
