DC Kupwara interacts with students on first day of opening of schools

KUPWARA, MARCH 2: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Higher Secondary School Nagri Malpora and interacted with the students and staff of the Higher Secondary which reopened after a gap over 2 years period, following Covid-19 lockdown.
Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kupwara, Abdul Hameed Fani.


The Deputy Commissioner was accorded rosy reception by the students, principal and the staff of the Higher Secondary. A parade was also held on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner provided flowers and chocolates among the students as a token of welcome.


The Deputy Commissioner also participated in the morning assembly. In his address, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the school administration to ensure that the first week of the March shall be observed as ‘welcome school’, during which recreation and games shall be played.


The Deputy Commissioner stressed for observation of Covid-19 SOPs in letter and spirit. He said the schools were opened after a long gap of 2 years and students should feel relaxed atmosphere.
Later, the CEO took the students to District Level Herbal Garden at Malpora where more than 100 medicinal plants are available for field visit.


Meanwhile, CEO visited various schools of the district which include Higher Secondary School (HSS) Hatmullah, HSS Boys Trehgam, Middle School (MS) Boys Hatmullah, UPS Hatmullah, MS Mugalpora, High School Gushi and PS Gund Reshi.
