DC Kupwara inspects FPS at SDH, directes for cancellation of license.
KUPWARA, JANUARY 31: Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din had a surprise inspection of Medical Fair Price Shop (FPS) at Sub District Hospital Kupwara, today. He was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer, Dr.kausar Amin and Drug Inspector.
During the inspection, the licence holder of the Fair Price Shop was not found present in the shop, instead, the Medical shop was run by salesmen . There was no sign board visible near the shop.The Deputy Commissioner while taking serious note, directed CMO and other concerned officers to initiate action under rules against the Fair Price Shop owner and cancel the licence of the shop owner.
On the occasion the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure that all Fair Price Shops runing in the district should be checked periodically and sign boards should be kept visible so that patients do not face any inconvenience.
He said health care is the top most priority of the district administration and every possible efforts are being taken to further improve the health sector in the district
