DC Kupwara Ayushi Sudan reviews progress under FRA


KUPWARA, JULY 22 : The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan( IAS)Saturday chaired a meeting of members of SDLC (Sub Divisional Level Committee) and DLC (District Level Committee) to discuss various issues related to progress/disposal of claims under Forest Rights Act.
The DFO Kamraj, Zahid Mougal who is Nodal officer FRA informed that 538 individual claims and 140 Community claims have been received and are under process at SDLC or FRC level.
The Deputy Commisioner Kupwara while stressing on coordinated approach for effective implementation of Forest Rights Act, Said that all the pending FRA cases should be disposed-off within a timeline of one month.
The Deputy Commisioner directed the Revenue, Forest, RDD officers and Field Functionaries to work in full cooperation so that desired results are obtained.
DC directed concerned departments to conduct Special Gramsabhas related to FRA so that left out beneficiaries are coverd under FRA and genuine families get benefited from Forest rights Act.
The meeting was attended by ACR Kupwara, SDM Karnah, SDM Sogam, DFO Kamraj, DFO Kehmil, BDOs, Tehsildars and other concerned.
