Police says internet will be restored today evening
Sopore, Sept 17 :- The low speed internet continues to remain suspended for the second consecutive day in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district after it was snapped following the death of a youth on Wednesday.
An official told the news agency (KNO) that low speed internet was suspended on Wednesday as a precautionary measure following the death of a youth identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar.
Meanwhile, a senior police official said that the internet services will be restored today evening after accessing the situation.
Reports said that as soon as the news of Dar’s death spread in the area yesterday, local residents took to the streets, terming it as “custodial killing”.
Meanwhile, Irfan’s family members demanded punishment for the “killers” and asked that his body be handed over to them.
