Kupwara,26 Sept 2021 – Daughters Day was celebrated in Macchil Sector today by the Army and villagers of this remote village on the line of control.
The daughter’s day was celebrated to mark the importance of girls in the overall development of the society. The celebration commenced with a folk dance performance by girls of Machhal school. Thereafter, the children participated in the drawing competition to exercise their artistic skills in which special attention was given to girls. A total of 50 children including 32 girls participated in the competition.
The children showed keen interest and were enthusiastic throughout the celebrations. The overwhelming zeal of children portrayed in the competition to exercise their creativity and to broaden their horizon was highly appreciable. Finally, the event culminated with prize distribution and lunch for children.
