Sopore: Residents of Dangerpora, Duroo, Hardshiva and Mundji area of the Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district are up in arms against the Roads and Buildings department for failing to macadamize the Dangerpora Duroo road.
According to the residents, the road stretch from Dangerpora Village to Duroo village is in complete shambles and the authorities have turned blind eye towards the issue.
Local residents told Kupwara Times Correspondent that the condition of the road is pathetic and the people were bearing the brunt of it.
“The road connects Duroo village with Dangerpora tehsil and Sopore-Baramulla. But, due to the huge potholes develop on the road, the public transport is not running on the road, leaving the residents compelled to walk by foot even during medical emergencies,” locals added.
The residents have sought attention of the R&B department and demanded immediate macadamization of the road.
They said that from the past nearly 10 years the road has not been repaired or macadamized by authorities, puncturing the tall claims of development.
