Kupwara, April 09 : Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg IAS , the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohiddin (IAS) established Innovative phone booth type sample Collection centre KIOSK at Government Degree College (GDC) Tangdar, today.
On the occasion SDM said that the innovative phone booth sample collection Centre, first of its kind in the border and farflung area, has been established to facilitate sample collection of COVID-19 suspects. He said 21 samples of Primary suspects were collected today and dispatched to SKIMS Soura for further testing.
SDM informed that Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, has already sent technical team of experts including microbiologist here for collection of samples, adding that this method of sample Collection reduces the use of man power experts and risk of covid transmission.
It is worth to mention that sample collection centre at Kupwara is already functional and samples are being collected over there.
Besides Deputy commisioner Kupwara Anshul Garg IAS , told that rapid contact tracing is done and more and more tests are conducted to ensure a successful fight aganist the COVID19 pandemic. He further added that sufficient stock of PPEs , Masks and sanitizers are available in the district.
SDM tandhar meanwhile again appealed the people of Tangdhar to strictly adhere to the preventive measures during ongoing lockdown in view of COVID-19. He said no movement of people is being allowed to and from the Bagbella village which has been recently declared as Red Zone by Deputy Commissioner after the outcome of 01 positive case of COVID19 from the area. Moreover, movement of people has also been restricted in Gomal, Shamspora, Nachiyan, Hajinard villages which have been declared as Buffer zones.
