Kupwara , April 09: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, today conducted a surprise inspection of District Control Room for COVID-19, established at DC Office Complex Complex, Kupwara. During the inspection, the ADC was briefed by the Nodal Officer , Control Room about its functioning. While enquiring about the calls received since the establishment of Control Room, it was informed that 2122 calls have been received till date and report of received calls on daily basis have been forwarded to concerned quarters for further action.While appreciating the officials for maintaining updated record regarding COVID-19 the ADC seeks coordination among the officials of control room, surveillance teams and nominated Administrators for quick action to the calls receiving on daily basis.While briefing to media the ADC, said that the District Administration is fully ready to stop the spread of dreadful disease COVID-19. He said the administration has established one additional control room at social welfare office to facilitate specially abled persons of the district. He added that all sufficient stock of essential commodities is available in the district and there no need to get panic . He said people should follow the directions and guidelines of the government and should stay indoors. The ADC said the department of food and civil supplies has distributed the rice and other essentials for the month of April. He said the administration is working on forefront and has delivered the medicine of Rs.5 lack to the patients of the district at their door steps.
