Abrar man of the match, Anwar Masood series
Handwara November 05:On Thursday a thrilling final cricket match of Champions Trophy Panditpora (Langate) held at Langate (Panditpora sports field) The final match was played between City BOYS Kupwara and Ramhall Reds.
City Boys captain won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first CBK posted a modest total of 130-10, on the board due to the late blitz of Abrar peer who struck a quickfire 38 and Bilal scored 25 for Ramhall Reds Zahoor Nabi took 3 wickets.
Chasing the target Ramhall reds got off to a decent start and were cruising at one moment but the death bowling brilliance by Abrar and Babloo Ensured a tie.
However the high voltage contest entered in super over to decide the winner.
In the super over the Ramhall Reds set a target of 12 runs and the opponent chased the total in 4 balls of the super over.
Abrar Peer was declared man of the match and Anwar Masoodi was declared man of the Series, Winning team City BOYS Kupwara were rewarded by the cash prize of Rs 50000 and Runners Ramhall Reds with the cash prize of Rs 20000,at the Presentation BDC Chairman Qaziabad Bashir Ahmad Mir, 30 RR Major Rathore Sapanch Jaffar Hussain and officials of Physical Education Department Tufail Ahmad, Mohd Maqbool Malik, Zahoor Ahmad Mir distributed the prizes among both teams and players.
