Kupwara, January 30: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori, today inaugurated a Health & Wellness Centre (H&WC) in Panditpora and a newly developed tourist spot in Lokipora, Qaziabad block. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan.
Also present were Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kupwara, Muzaffar Ahmad Sheikh; Block Development Officer (BDO) Qaziabad,CMO, Tehsildar Qaziabad, government employees, and a large gathering of local residents.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for visiting Qaziabad block. He highlighted that the development of the tourist destination in Qaziabad had been a long-pending demand of the local people. He emphasized the area’s tourism potential and hoped that the administration would take further steps to promote it for the welfare of the community.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the Chairman DDC for his efforts in promoting tourism in Qaziabad and assured the administration’s continued support for development initiatives in the region.
Later, the Chairman, along with the Deputy Commissioner, visited Panditpora village, where they inaugurated the newly constructed Health & Wellness Centre. The Deputy Commissioner inspected the facility and appreciated the efforts of the Chairman and the Health Department in successfully establishing the center.
Following this, the Deputy Commissioner visited various areas of Qaziabad block to inspect ongoing developmental projects, including works under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Kralgund.
