B’pora Administrations imparts training to Counting Staff

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 17: The District Administration Bandipora today organised a training session for counting staff for the counting of votes of District Development Council (DDC) elections.

On the occasion, the District Level Master Trainers imparted training to the counting staff including General Line Teachers, Patwaris, Agriculture assistants, senior assistants etc in two sessions under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Dr Owais Ahmad.

More than 138 Counting Assistants, 77 counting supervisors, 14 ROs and 14 AROs participated in the training session. The trainers informed the audience about various issues of the counting process and urged them to strictly follow the procedure to ensure smooth and transparent counting of votes. Speaking on the occasion, the DPEO emphasized upon the concerned authorities to ensure that the counting of elections is conducted smoothly. He directed to ensure adequate heating, lighting and other necessary arrangements so that the staff associated with the process may not face any inconvenience. Moreover, Dr Owais stressed upon the concerned officers to strictly follow all the requisite COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines to avert any kind of eventuality.

Among others, Chief Education Officer Bandipora Javid Iqbal, Deputy Chief Education Officer GM Sheikh and Nodal Officer Training Rafiq Ahmad Parray were also present on the occasion.
