Block Diwas held at Zachaldara-Handwara, Tangdar

KUPWARA, AUGUST 3: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today chaired a Mega Block Diwas function at Zachaldara Handwara to hear the public issues.
      DDC Member Rajwar,  Mohammad Suliman Mir; BDC Rajwar Shaheena jii ACD Kupwara, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD, I&FC; DSHO, AD Food, AD Fisheries, BDO, BMO, block officers, besides, PRIs and people in large number participated in the block diwas.
      Addressing the people,  the DDC urged upon them to avail all benefits of online facility. He said Government is committed to provide more and more facilities to the  public and by now 184 services are available online through various departments, adding that the people need not to visit Government offices for any service which is available online. He said, “It is responsibility of general public to make the online facility successful and it can only be done when people avoid to visit offices”.  People can complain at administrative level if they observe any difficulty in receiving online facility, the DDC added.
             Replying to the demands of the public, the DDC said that the engineers of Jal Shakti Department (PHE) have been made accountable to ensure potable drinking supply to every household this fiscal, adding that Jal Jeevan Mission has already been launched and he has approved 106 water supply schemes for all the 03 divisions of the district, out of which 40 schemes are in Handwara subdivision.
       The DDC also assured the public that power scenario would get a better improvement in the district as the the power infrastructure is being upgraded to a better level.
          The DDC asked people especially farmer community to take maximum benefits of the schemes like PM Kissan envisaged by the Government from time to time.
            The DDC asked concerned officers including ACD and BDOs to redouble their efforts and complete estimation and other work in mission mode. He also directed CMO and CEO to detach all attached employees if any to their original postings as per Government orders.
          DDC Member also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, PRIs and senior citizens spoke and put forth their day to day developmental issues of their concerned areas.
The DDC heard them patiently and directed the concerned officers for disposal of the issues raised.
Earlier, on his arrival at Zachaldara, the DDC along with CEO participated in the Tiranga rally at BHSS Zachaldara.
SDM Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather also chaired block diwas at Tangdar.
       The PRIs and general public participated in the block diwas programmes and projected their developmental issues before the officers of the administration. The officers heard their issues patiently and various issues were resolved on the spot.
