Marking one year of Abrogation of Article 370

Monday,July 27: To mark one year of “Abrogation” of Article 370, Bhartya Janta Party (BJP), is all set to celebrate it for 15 days.


In a recent interview BJP’s General Secretary J&K Ashok Koul, said that the party is about to mark a 15-day long program to celebrate one year of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Last year on August 5th, the government of India revoked the special status of J&K and limited its autonomy guaranteed under Article 370 of the Indian constitution.
“A 15-day long program has been chalked out to celebrate one year of August 5 decision,” BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul said.
As per BJP party leaders, abrogation of Article 370 has turned out to be a historic decision and has helped in restoring peace in the region, but the breakout of pandemic Coronavirus as grinch has delayed development processes in the newly formed Union Territory.
As far as restoration of peace in J&k is concerned, ‘the situation is under control” ,he said. “Kashmir is peaceful today and credit goes to last year’s historic decision. On the development front, Covid-19 played a spoilsport. The way development should have taken place it hasn’t” said BJP leader.

Kaul said that smoothly buy steadily, the situation in Kashmir is improving. Earlier there used to be number of protests during encounters. The security forces have neutralized number of militants this year.
“Today, we see no clashes at the encounter sites as youth have realised the futility of protests,” Koul said

To celebrate the J&K’s complete integration with the Union of India the party is going to hold mega event, BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir spokesman Altaf Thakur said. “Central ministers will address virtual rallies. They will also visit various districts of J&K and meet Refugees, Safai Karam Charis,” he said.
