Srinagar:Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and constituency head Zadibal Asif Wangnoo here on today greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Eid Ul Fitr and prayed for wellbeing of the people. Wangnoo said that the festival of Eid is a unique and special occasion leading the mankind at the path of peace, harmony and truthfulness.
He expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity. He described the festival as a reward from Almighty Allah. Celebrating Eid teaches us camaraderie, friendship, mutual respect and love for the masses. He appealed people to remember their neighbours, orphans and the needy during Eid celebrations.
He called for observing Eid-ul-Fitr with austerity and simplicity and expressed hope that the well-off people would help the poor, destitute, needy and orphans.
