Kupwara, Oct 16: A strong and stable mind resides in the strong and stable body. It is important for today’s youth to be involved in physical fitness activities so as to enjoy a healthy life for a life time. In order to promote physical fitness among the students of Kralpura, a Hill Run was conducted today by the IA. A total of 165 boys and 42 girls from Kralpura were participated in the run. Ms Mazrat Farooq DDC Kralpora, alongwith Sarpanches from the AOR were in attendance for the event. SHO Kralpura and personnel from J&K Police were also present for tfc mgmt during the conduct.
The 5.2 km distance run started from Shumnag Bus stand and culminated at ALG grnd, Panzgam. The event witnesses overwhelming participation from the students of AoR. PT trainers of IA ensured a proper warm up and cool down session for the participants before and after the run.
Refreshments were given to everyone present in attendance. IA provided medical cover for the event.
The event concluded with prize distr for deserving winners, First five winners of both boys and girls were felicitated with cash awards and medals. A medal and a participation cert was presented to all the participants.
The event brought a smile on faces of the locals as well as the children since they were witnessing an event which they had never seen happening in the area. The event boosted the morale of the children and motivated them to do well in the future.
