Kupwara, Jul 16 (GNS): Almost two months after the last positive detected in the areas, administration here in the frontier district have partially done away with the red zone status from Andherhama and Manigah villages.
Two separate notifications issued by Additional Magistrate Kupwara, copies of which lie with GNS, read that after aggressive contact tracing and sampling was done in the (earlier) notified Red Zones to break the chain and contain the spread of virus (since the last positive case surfaced in the areas).
The notification maintains that the Village Andherhama in tehsil Drugmulla was declared as Red Zone by Chairman DDMA Kupwara by order number DCK/PS/20/04/729-37, dated 09-04-2020.
Two months have passed since last positive case was reported in Andherhama and thereby becomes eligible for denotification as per criteria mentioned in Govt. Order No. 63-JK-9DMRRR of 2020, dated 24-06-2020, the notification reads.
