Kupwara, May 29: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir along with Tehsildar and SHO today conducted market checking around the Handwara town to ensure stabilization in the prices of essential commodities.
The move came after complaints being received from many consumers regarding the charging of exorbitant prices of essential commodities, said ADC.
On the occasion, the ADC directed concerned officers to ensure that priceline of all essential commodities be maintained properly as per prescribed rate list. He also stressed the need for keeping rate lists of essential goods displayed in the shops.
