KUPWARA, APRIL 30: District Magistrate Kupwara, Imam Din today imposed complete Corona Curfew across the entire jurisdiction of District Kupwara w.e.f 30.04.2021 (7:00PM) to 03.05.2021 (7:00 AM).
In an order, the District Magistrate announced the imposition of Corona Curfew in view of increasing rate of positive Covid cases in the district. However, there shall be no restriction on the movement of Government officials for attending office/ duties. Besides, essential services including medical emergencies, shops associated with fruits and vegetables, medicines, bakery, meat, chicken shall remain functional subject to adherence to guidelines/ SOPs laid down in this regard. There shall be no restriction on people and officials associated with the manufacturing, transportation, storage and sale of the agricultural inputs alongwith machinery, reads the order.
The order further reads, all development/construction works shall be allowed to continue. The vaccination drive shall not be hampered and mobile teams shall be constituted to provide vaccination in residential areas and containment zones. All educational institutions/tution centres shall continue to remain closed. Religious and social gatherings such as marriages, attended upto 50 persons are allowed, whereas indoors or outdoors and funerals/last rites, attended by upto 20 persons are allowed. In case a person obstructs any officer or employee in discharging of his functions or refuses to comply with any direction given under this Act, he shall be liable for penalty under section 51 of the Disaster Management Act.
