Two Players from Kupwara namely Syed Shakoor and Naveed Nabi of Growth Sports Academy Kupwara representing Jammu And Kashmir won silver medal in 1st Khelo India Winter Games held at Gulmarg from 7 to 11 march 2020 .
Both the players played in Ice StockSport Team game event and won silver medal playing against Haryana , Jarkhand and Maharashtra.Syed Aadil was coach of both the players and expressed happiness over the victory. Hoped for better performance of his students in upcoming events.
