Kupwara, August 27: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, a comprehensive training programme on Digital Crop Survey was conducted today at the Main Meeting Hall, DC Office Kupwara, with the aim of ensuring smooth and effective implementation of the survey across the district.
The joint training programme was conducted under the supervision of Assiatant Commsiiner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad who guided the participants through the entire process with a hands-on approach.
During the training session, the participants were apprised in detail about the Digital Crop Survey, with special emphasis laid on the functioning, features, and operational aspects of the dedicated Survey mobile application. The resource persons explained at length the step-by-step methodology of data collection, field verification, and real-time uploading of crop-related information through the app, so as to enable the trainees to carry out the exercise accurately and efficiently at the ground level.
The trainees were also briefed about the significance of the Digital Crop Survey in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely availability of crop data, which shall subsequently aid in better planning and implementation of various agriculture and revenue-related schemes.
It was informed during the programme that the Digital Crop Survey shall commence across the district from 1st September, and all stakeholders were directed to complete their preparatory work well within the stipulated timeframe.
The training programme was attended by Revenue staff, besides representatives from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, Common Service Centre (CSC) operators, and Master Trainers, who actively participated in the interactive session and cleared their queries regarding the survey process.
