Srinagar, Oct 09 : An encounter has broke out between militants and security forces at Methan area of Srinagar late on Saturday night.
Kashmir zone police tweeted” Second #Encounter has started at Methan area of #Srinagar. Police & CRPF are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice”
Official said that earlier a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation in area.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an encounter.
