NHM employees demand release of due salary before eid

Srinagar, April 24: Ahead of Shab-i-Qadr and Eid Ul Fitr,The employees working under National Health Mission have urged the LG administration to intervene in pending wages of NHM employees and threatened agitation in case of failure of authorities to release salary.

Abdul Rauoof Chief spokesperson of JKNHMEA said they have Suffered immensely due to non release of wages for the month of March.

“During the holy month of Ramazan the employees were left without a penny in their pockets as wages were not released.Now the Eid is approaching and we are mentally stressed”, he said,”urging the authorities to release wages before Eid”,

He also said the employees shall be left with no option but to hit streets if wages were not released on the 30th of the month for the months of March and April.

The Association President Muneer Andrabi appealed Leiutinent Governor Manoj Sinha to direct the concerned for release of funds meant for wages.

“The employees under NHM serve in the most difficult situations and terrains drawing meager wages which in itself is cause of stress.Now non release of salary is making things difficult”, he further said that in this situation of desperation employees can take the extreme steps.

They have urged the LG administration to intervene personally in this regard as Shab e Qadr and Eid Ul Fitr are ahead now.
