Kupwara : The Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) Kamraj today bid a warm and emotional farewell to Forest Guard Gh Hassan Rather, who retired after rendering an illustrious 33 years of dedicated service in the Kamraj Forest Division of Kupwara.
A grand farewell function was organized at the Range Office South Lolab, Sogam, which was attended by senior officers, association representatives, and colleagues from the Forest Department.
DFO Kamraj Owais Farooq Mir, while lauding the retiree’s contributions, said, “Gh Hassan Rather has been an asset to the Kamraj Division Forest Division Kupwara. His sincerity, discipline, and tireless efforts towards forest protection and conservation will always be remembered.”
Range Officer South Lolab Athar Parvaiz Shah praised the outgoing official exemplary work ethic, stating, “Rather Sahib’s devotion to duty is a model for young officials. He carried out his responsibilities in difficult terrains with honesty and courage.”
Mir Nazir, Senior Vice President of All India Forest Federation Officers India, highlighted the significance of dedication in government service, remarking, “Officials like Gh Hassan Rather prove that sincerity and commitment leave a lasting legacy in public service.”
Gh Mohd Dar, Division President Kamraj, paid glowing tributes to the retiree, noting, “His service was not just about fulfilling duties but about building trust with the local community and protecting our natural wealth.”
Ab Ahad Mir, Retired Forest Official, while extending his best wishes, said, “As a colleague and now a fellow retiree, I salute his long service and pray for his healthy and happy post-retirement life.”
The Forest Retiree Welfare Association also participated in the event and conveyed their greetings, affirming their continued bond with the Forest Department family.
The event concluded with heartfelt wishes for Gh Hassan Rather, who expressed gratitude to his colleagues and reaffirmed his emotional connection with the department even after retirement.
