Man dies after hit by wooden log in Lolab Forests

“Will investigate the matter” Range Officer.

Lolab(Kupwara) November 21: A 45-year old man died after he was allegedly hit by a wooden log in Warnow Forests of Lolab.

The news gathering agency GNS confirmed the death from the local sarpanch who told news agency that a person namely Jum Gakhand of warnow Lolab died after he was hit by the wooden log.

Though collecting of firewood or timber without proper legal formalities is strictly banned, the question remains how people are allowed to collect firewood in upper reaches.

The Range officer South Lolab, Zahoor Ahmad while talking to kupwaratimes.com said that “I will ascertain the reason behind this death and will also investigate how and why this person was collecting ” Firewood” In the Jungle “.

SHO Kuligam, Zakir Ahmad, has told the news agency GNS that the body would be handed over to the family after conduct of necessary medico-legal formalities. ( Inputs GNS )
